À la rencontre de vos ancêtres!

“À la rencontre de vos ancêtres! (Meet Your Ancestors!)” invites participants to take their first steps into family history during Quebec’s National Genealogy Week. Researchers and volunteers from the Société généalogique canadienne-française introduce the resources and methods used to trace family roots. Perhaps the family tree includes a King’s Daughter, a Carignan-Salières Regiment soldier, a French Navy sailor, a German mercenary from 1776 or even a well-known historical figure. This free activity offers an opportunity to explore the archives and discover the people and stories that shaped generations past.
