Waiting for Godot by Samuel Beckett
Festivals and events
After more than thirty years on the Centaur Theatre stage, Waiting for Godot by Samuel Beckett returns offering a renewed perspective on one of modern theatre’s defining works. This new production reimagines Vladimir and Estragon as figures of abandonment and endurance, caught in an endless cycle of waiting. Directed by Eda Holmes in collaboration with Rebecca Gibian and co-produced with Théâtre Denise-Pelletier, the staging adopts an intergenerational lens that foregrounds uncertainty, immobility, and fragile hope. Performed by a cast that brings fresh energy and contemporary resonance, the play explores power, doubt, and persistence in a world where meaning remains elusive.
