Holiday in Zürich
Festivals and events
This play offers a tender, humorous, and deeply moving portrait of love and mortality. The play follows Frank and Clementine (Tiny), a Canadian couple in their later years, as they prepare for a long-anticipated trip to Switzerland. While Tiny looks forward to romance, discovery, and indulgence, Frank faces a more difficult reality. Set almost entirely in their bedroom, the story distills a lifetime into a suspended moment under stage lights, where love is expressed through small gestures, unspoken fears, and quiet compromises. This world premiere is performed by Brian Dooley and Danielle Desormeaux, bringing warmth and emotional clarity to an intimate reflection on choosing one another as time grows short.
