Calling all dessert lovers: MTLàTABLE 2026 has got you covered with a variety of treats, from a refreshing fruit dessert to an indulgent chocolate creation. After a multi-course meal, end on a sweet note with one of the desserts from these participating restaurants, from October 29 to November 15.

Leméac – 1045 Laurier Avenue West

This stalwart of French food has been serving brasserie classic dishes for over twenty years, and their pain perdu or French toast is a star on their menu, equally popular for brunch or dessert. A towering slice of fresh brioche is soaked in cream and eggs, then baked and served with dulce de leche ice cream and maple caramel.

Ratafia – 6778 Saint-Laurent Boulevard

Before becoming known as an intimate wine bar, perfect for date night or an evening out with the girls, Ratafia made its name with desserts. Don’t miss their signature Medovik, a layered honey cake, served with sour cream and chamomile whipped cream, squash and pollen gel, raw honeycomb, and buckwheat.

ITHQ Restaurant – 3535 Saint-Denis Street

The 5-course menu at this cooking and hospitality school is full of thoughtful touches that celebrate local ingredients, and they offer four different options for dessert. Try their corn ice cream, served with miso caramel and a cornflake crumble (they also offer a gluten-free version and vegan ice cream upon request).

Les Mômes – 586 Villeray Street

This BYOW has quickly garnered praise and a MICHELIN recommendation for its playful menu. Their 4-course meal does not leave diners wanting, with dessert options that include a poached pear with pear sorbet and ice cider sabayon, or a dark chocolate tartlet served with smoked milk and hazelnut, and vanilla and hay ice cream.

Le Cerf-Volant Bistro – 8480 Hochelaga Street

In the East end, diners love this BYOW for its inventive dishes with French technique. This year, there are three dessert options, including what they call the Green Dragon: a gluten-free dish with vanilla panna cotta, with passion fruit coulis, mango sorbet, kiwi, Midori melon liqueur, and meringue tuiles.

Le Virunga – 851 Rachel Street East

For years, diners have been wowed by the pan-African flavours at this restaurant run by a mother-daughter duo, from starter to dessert. To end the meal, they propose a gluten-free Angolan coconut custard, served with field berries, or a semolina cake with Cameroonian hibiscus, alongside caramel whipped cream.

Café Rutba – 3633 Saint-Laurent Boulevard

This Indian restaurant offers modern takes on delicious classics, featuring local ingredients when possible. As part of their 4-course menu for $38, try their donut cloud: a warm cardamom donut with creamy kesar malai kulfi and a hint of rose.

Satu Lagi – 1361 Mont-Royal Avenue East

A meal here feels like a mini-vacation to Indonesia, and the dessert is no exception. Discover the wingko babat, a vegan and gluten-free sticky coconut cake with coconut caramel and sea salt.

Bayrut Restaurant – 727 William Street

Over in Griffintown, Bayrut has been delighting diners with Lebanese dishes, and their 5-course meal offers multiple dessert options. Among the most popular is the riz b’haleeb, a creamy rice pudding infused with orange blossom and rose water, topped with crushed pistachios.

Umami Ramen & Izakaya – 6660 Clark Street

At Umami, blonde wood and an inviting decor set the stage for a Montreal take on ramen, izakaya dishes, and desserts too. For a fruit-forward dessert with warming spices, they offer a pear poached in sake and ginger, served with miso caramel, light cream, toasted sesame crumble, and ginger gel.

LOV McGill – 464 McGill Street

This restaurant has been drawing both vegans and non-vegans alike to its dining room with tall ceilings in the Old Port. Celebrate fall with their dessert, a vegan Québec pumpkin cake, with a Medjool date caramel and coconut whipped cream.

Archway – 3683 Wellington Street

This vegan restaurant and wine bar in Verdun is known for its plant-forward and Instagram-worthy dishes. This year, their 4-course menu ends with a couple dessert options, including a pistachio crème brûlée, served with butter-fried dates and Bumble Bloom vegan honey.

Don’t forget to make a reservation so you don’t miss these outstanding desserts. Reservations are important so restaurants can prepare, and honouring your reservation is a way to show them support. If your plans change, make sure to let them know.
