“Maisonneuve 1976. If Marius Saw That…” revisits a pivotal year in the history of Montréal’s east end. Created in partnership with the Olympic Park and the Macdonald Stewart Foundation, this temporary exhibition explores the transformation of Parc Maisonneuve as the Olympic complex takes shape in 1976. At the same time, the future of Maison Dufresne hangs in the balance after years of neglect. Through archival material and historical perspectives, the exhibition highlights the citizen mobilization that leads to the building’s designation as a historic monument by the Government of Quebec that same year.
