FireWorks by Gauthier Dance//Dance Company Theaterhaus Stuttgart

“FireWorks” brings together Gauthier Dance//Dance Company Theaterhaus Stuttgart for a wide-ranging choreographic program marking the 40th anniversary of the Stuttgart venue. Twelve leading figures in contemporary dance were invited by Eric Gauthier to create new works set to music reflecting the Theaterhaus’s strong jazz tradition. Music acts as a driving force throughout the evening, which opens with a piece by Barak Marshall and concludes with Andonis Foniadakis’s Bolero + performed on trampolines. Between these moments, works by Hofesh Shechter, Benjamin Millepied, Virginie Brunelle, Johan Inger, Marco Goecke, Stijn Celis, Dominique Dumais, Mauro Bigonzetti, Sofia Nappi and Eric Gauthier unfold in quick succession.
