“Balé da Cidade de São Paulo” presents a double bill by choreographer Rafaela Sahyoun that reflects the vitality of Brazil’s contemporary dance scene. With more than 200 creations to its credit, the company brings together Fôlego and BOCA ABISSAL in a program driven by rhythm, collective movement and renewal. In Fôlego, breath becomes a motor for fluid, continuous motion, amplified by a large mirror that reshapes the stage into a shifting visual field. BOCA ABISSAL offers a counterpoint through wide circular patterns and an electro score with Brazilian accents, as 18 performers generate a shared, regenerative energy.
