November will be a lively month for gamers! The esports world is converging in the city for the prestigious BLAST R6 Montréal Major, a cornerstone event in the annual esports calendar. It’s more than just a competition: presented by Ubisoft, this world championship of the hit game Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege is a chance for the community to gather in person to watch the final playoffs (i.e. the Team Single Elimination phase) play out live, from November 15 to 17, 2024, at the iconic Verdun Auditorium

Here are 6 reasons to get your tickets NOW.

BLAST R6 Manchester Major 2024

1. The energy.

Esports are fun to stream live, sure, but nothing compares to the electricity in the air when you watch the world’s best players do their thing live, in the flesh! This gathering at the Verdun Auditorium will bristle with energy and the enthusiasm of thousands of likeminded peers.

2. The suspense.

It’s nail-biting stuff when players from around the world battle it out to lift the hammer, but the 20 teams that qualify for the Montréal Major will also be competing for a lion’s share of the USD $750,000 prize pool, as well as points to qualify for the Six Invitational 2025. High stakes!

3. The players.

This year’s roster has yet to be decided, but if last year is anything to go by, the quality of player will be next level; last year included international stars DarkZero, Astralis, XSET, Oxygen, Wolves Esports, Rogue, G2 and w7m esports. You’ll get the rub shoulders at signings and Q&A sessions with the best of the best.

4. The merch bundles.

Fans will have the choice between 3-day passes and single day passes, with general admission. For the best extra perks, though, go with a Category one Gold ticket: that gets you a special BLAST Rainbow Six Siege merchandise bundle and early entry into the venue to pick your seats first.

Auditorium de Verdun

5. The arena.

Built in 1938 and home to the Montréal Alliance, the Verdun Auditorium has hosted hundreds of big athletic competitions, including figure skating competitions and professional wrestling events, as well as historic concerts by Metallica (1986), Nirvana (1993) and Foo Fighters (2003). If those walls could talk, they’d have some stories to tell.

6. The neighbourhood.

While you’re at the arena, take a break or two to explore the awesome amenities Verdun has to offer: the Wellington Promenade, for example, which was not only rated one of the world’s coolest streets, but also holds some of the city’s best lunch spots and cafés.

See you there!
