Montreal’s festivals and events are back in full swing this summer and the Francos 2022 lineup has been revealed. From June 10 to 18, 2022, a host of artists from Québec and all over the world are set to take the stage. It’s high time to live it up, dance along to your favourite artists live and meet up with friends.

A tribute to Karim Ouellet

A loyal friend of the Francos, the festival has decided to dedicate this 33rd edition to Karim Ouellet and his impact on the Québec music scene.

The return of MC Solaar

MC Solaar's last appearance at the Francos was in 1998 and it is with joy that fans will finally be able to see the master of French rap take the stage on June 17. This new show entitled the "New Big Band Project: the reunion", both original and captivating, will feature string and brass arrangements with sublime and touching lyrics. This latest production is reminiscent of jazz, French music and popular Afro-American history. An event not to be missed.

Pierre Lapointe and “L’heure mauve”

On June 12, in Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier at Place des Arts, Pierre Lapointe will perform the entirety of his album "L’heure mauve" that serves as the musical backdrop for the exhibition of the same name by Nicolas Patry at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. A sweet moment to be seen and heard.

A tribute to George Brassens

At Théâtre Maisonneuve, on June 18, several artists unite for a tribute performance to George Brassen titled "Les polissons de la chanson". On stage, Michel Rivard, Luc de la Rochelière, Valérie Blais, Saratoga and Ingrid St-Pierre will perform the great classics of the French singer-songwriter.

A multitude of artist to discover

Don’t miss Marc Dupré on June 11, Catherine Major with her show "Carte Mère" on June 17, Ariane Moffatt on June 11, 2Frères on June 13, and the always very popular Damien Robitaille on June 12 during the “Tout en chanson La Presse” evening shows.

The excellent Patrice Michaud will present “Grand Voyage Désorganisé” on June 15th. Other performances include Eddy de Pretto, Lisa Leblanc, P’tit Bélliveau, Inchon, Gros Mené Rymz and many others! Something to please all musical tastes during this great festival that celebrates francophone music. Discover the complete program for this 33rd edition here.
