Figure skating fans know how important this is: the ISU World Figure Skating Championships is happening in our very city this year. Get your tickets now to be among the thousands set to gather at the Bell Centre from March 18 to 24 to witness jaw-dropping feats by international champions from the front row, at the most important annual figure skating event outside of the Olympics.

Cool as ice

We may be making history by hosting the ISU Worlds in Montréal, but believe it or not, we did it before! Montréal previously hosted the event in 1932, the first time it was ever held in Canada. It has grown in stature since then — today, it captures the hearts of over 300 million television viewers worldwide.

Hosting 200 competitors from 50 countries in women’s, men’s, pairs and ice dance, the ISU Worlds is THE place to be in figure skating, for both competitors and fans from around the world. Expect to see international stars like Kaori Sakamoto, Loena Hendrickx, Alysa Liu, as well as Canadian champions like Kaiya Ruiter, Madeline Schizas and Hetty Shi.

Laced-up and ready

With a golden Olympic legacy, a packed sporting events calendar and a globally recognized status as an urban sports city, it’s plain to see that sports make up an important part of Montréal’s DNA. In what’s sure to be a banner year of sport event, the ISU Worlds promise to add another exciting chapter to our rich sporting history.
