Festival YUL EAT is one of Montréal’s most celebrated culinary events. The city’s food lovers eagerly await the yearly event to partake in their favourite activity: eating! This gastronomic feast is a great gathering place for epicureans, foodies and culinary creativity enthusiasts. YUL EAT sets the stage for enjoying food and alcohol prepared by local talents, of course, but it also allows for some great discoveries in terms of products and talents. It highlights Montréal as a gastronomic epicenter and one of North America’s major food destinations. Building on its instant and continued success, the festival invites attendees to connect with chefs and artisans, pushing the refined experience to a unique level. It allows for privileged, behind-the-scenes access to the culinary world and creates the possibility of meaningful conversations between the public and the food and beverage industry professionals. YUL EAT always combines a variety of free activities as well as some paid ones for all budgets and levels of expertise.
The 2019 edition takes place from September 9 to 15. This 6th edition will feature culinary theme nights, the “Parcours Gourmand” grand tasting experience, hands-on workshops, demonstrations, conferences, a pop-up restaurant, and more! Masterclasses with renowned chefs and industry experts in their place of work are also on the schedule. These include famous establishments such as La Cabane d’à côté, Distilleries Cirka, La Boucherie dans la côte and Les Chocolats de Chloé. A few special events are also on the roster with a ¡Destinación México!-themed evening and a Taste of the Future dinner with 5 chefs and their visions of fine dining in 50 years.
