Where Montréal Began
Pointe-à-Callière, Montréal Archaeology and History Complex, invites you to follow in the footsteps of the pioneers who founded the city of Montréal and visit a unique commemorative space: the site where Montréal began. Pointe-à-Callière, a national historic site and birthplace of Montréal, examines 600 years of history, from the time when Natives camped here to present day. This exhibition takes an emotional look at the essence of a city founded more than 360 years ago.
