ROMEO AND JULIET
Annually in July
Shakespeare-in-the-Park is the annual summer tour of the Montréal Repercussion Theatre. For this season's edition, the professional theatre company reimagines the tragic tale of Romeo and Juliet through an expanded, more inclusive lens to celebrate collective diversity. In this production, the couple of Romeo and Juliet is not heterosexual. According to Repercussion Artistic Director, Amanda Kellock, “The company’s aim has always been to ‘hold a mirror up to nature’, to use classical theatre to reflect contemporary life and encourage dialogue.“
July 5 to Aug 8, 2018: Sun, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat, 7 p.m.
On tour in various parks.
