One’s Own Eyes

By adopting strategies akin to visual ethnography in the exhibition “One’s Own Eyes,” Parastoo Anoushahpour, Faraz Anoushahpour, and Ryan Ferko multiply perspectives on Iran’s modernization, its rural regions, and the families witnessing their industrialization. Archives and image‑making devices become both playgrounds and tools of subversion, as well as catalysts for encounters from which the artists undertake the autopsy of a territory.
