Two works form this double programme. In “Mon corps le sait,” Willywonka explores identity and belonging through a hip‑hop and popping solo shaped by invisible memories. Between restraint and release, she examines tension, silence and renewal in a Franco‑Algerian quest for legitimacy. This work invites us to embrace silence and transform what’s unspoken. “Make Me Cry” is an existential solo in which Tia Ashley Kushniruk probes how race is performed onstage, guiding us through the minefield of minstrelsy that continues to shape how BIPOC artists are consumed.
