Médecine et charité, les hôtels-Dieu du Moyen Âge à la Nouvelle-France
Festivals and events Leisure activities Arts History Indoor Plateau-Mont-Royal and Mile End Montréal
In what way were the hospitals of New France known to our ancestors the heirs of medieval French hospitals? Visitors of all ages will find the answer to this and many other questions at the heart of the largest temporary exhibition ever mounted by the Musée des Hospitalières. Stained glass windows, sculptures, paintings, furniture, tapestries, everyday objects related to patient care and archives reveal the wealth of French and Quebec hospital heritage. From France, nearly a hundred works and archives classified as cultural property will be on display for the first time in Canada.
