Matières secondes, Créations premières
Festivals and events Leisure activities Arts Indoor Les Quartiers du Canal Montréal
The Espace VERRE gallery presents "Matières secondes, Créations premières", a group exhibition featuring the works of nine glass artists from Quebec: Dorothée Bouliane, Florentin Chaumet, Jean-Philippe Dumais, Roxane Dupuis, David Frigon-Lavoie, Jennifer Gaumer, Geneviève Grenier, Samwell Guertin and Michèle Lapointe. The artists explore a poetic and socially engaged theme: recycled, reclaimed, and repurposed glass. Through the usage of fragments of industrial glass, studio scraps or parts from previous works, each of their creations highlights the potential rebirth of materials. The public is invited to discover these transformations, guided by the information retracing each step of the creative process.
