Although its "château life" was short-lived, from the summer of 1965 to the spring of 1968, the Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal (MAC) played a decisive role in the city's artistic life. In less than 4 years, more than 300,000 visitors were attracted by the presentation of nearly 70 exhibitions and a number of varied, recurring cultural activities. At the Château Dufresne, the MAC is enjoying its heyday, and this temporary exhibition is sure to revive memories of an important period in Quebec's art and socio-cultural history.
