FINA Diving World Series
Annually in April
Spectators can see the eight Olympic diving events, including the popular Mixed Synchronized Diving Finals.
The format of the World Series is custom made for spectators, with shorter events that feature a maximum of six divers or synchro teams, and with finals being held each day. Working with its international federation, FINA, Diving Plongeon Canada transforms the diving tank into a dramatic stage, complete with creative design and special lighting
The event is a great opportunity to witness in-person spectacular acrobatics, amazing athleticism and grace in the pool where the Montréal 1976 Olympic Games occurred. The eight Olympic events are staged (women’s and men’s 3-metre springboard, 10-metre platform, 3-metre springboard synchro and 10-metre platform synchro), in addition to the very popular mixed synchronized events.
The Olympic Park Sports Centre is Canada’s ideal location to host this type of event. A recent $30 million renovation project modernized the aquatic centre, which is not only the largest in Canada, but also the high-performance training home facility for many Québécois and Canadian athletes.
