Since 1985, The Vues d’Afrique International Film Festival has presented a panorama of productions from all countries with African realities as well as Creole representation.
Its objectives are to stimulate exchanges between artists and, through better mutual knowledge, to promote harmonious relations within society. Beyond the annual Film Festival, the activities of Vues d'Afrique extend throughout the year with an Exhibition Rally, open-air film shows, intercultural workshops in schools and much more.
The Festival is competitive with categories ranging from fiction and documentaries to series, emerging films and some for Canadian content. Prizes for films distinguished in Human Rights, Environment, Gender Equality are also awarded.
The 2022 edition will be a hybrid presentation, partly virtual on TV5Unis, followed by theatrical screenings, accompanied by multiple animations.
