Quebec and Canadian Art
Since its founding, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts has amassed an exceptional collection of Québec and Canadian art consisting of over 3,000 works, including 500 Inuit works and 180 Amerindian artifacts.
Each of the pavilion’s six levels spotlights a historical period for which a specifically designed presentation enables a better understanding and appreciation of Québec and Canadian art.
A testament to Inuit artistic practices, including those of today, the Inuit art collection highlights, on the top level of the Claire and Marc Bourgie Pavilion, the Inuit perspective, images, transformations and legends.
