“Cinderella”, presented by Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, tells the story of a young woman who grows up in the shadows, caught between a cruel stepmother and two jealous stepsisters, bound to thankless chores and quiet dreams. Yet within her modest life, a spark of hope endures. When her fairy godmother appears, her world transforms. Inspired by the Brothers Grimm tale and set to Prokofiev’s full score, Australian choreographer Jayne Smeulders creates a poetic ballet where magic, humour, and emotion intertwine in a dazzling, luminous production.
