Saint-Paul and De la Commune Streets

For years, rue Saint-Paul served as Montréal’s main street. Many of its 19th-century buildings, including former warehouses, have been restored and now house artisan boutiques, local designer shops, art galleries, restaurants and homes. Between rue Saint-Paul and rue de la Commune, Marché Bonsecours, with its distinctive dome, and the neighbouring Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours Chapel add to the area’s appeal. In summer, rue Saint-Paul becomes pedestrian-only between rue du Marché-Bonsecours and Saint-Laurent Boulevard.
