Get fired up at Espace VERRE, Montréal’s own artisanal centre focussed on glass art research, promotion and recognition. A training centre, a workshop, gallery, and boutique all under one roof – the roof of a former fire station, no less -, Espace VERRE aims to develop and create a buzz around glass arts practice in Québec.
Take a tour and learn more about the world of glass art. Thanks to privileged studio access, demonstrations and explanations by knowledgeable guides, you’ll discover the many glass techniques practiced at Espace VERRE, such as glassblowing, flameworking, sandblasting and more.
Take a class and explore the many facets of glass art. Skilled artisans offer classes in a variety of techniques in both French and English while glass blowers perform demonstrations. From customized creativity and teambuilding workshops to intensive weekend classes, Espace VERRE offers a comprehensive schedule of introductory and advanced courses.
Take a piece home from the onsite boutique featuring unique creations such as kitchen and tableware, jewelry, home décor items and more. What’s more, the gallery presents a full calendar of free exhibitions, including pieces for sale by Québec glass artisans.
