How about pursuing your Montréal culinary experience at the airport? At the YUL Montréal-Trudeau International Airport, travellers are invited to discover some city hotspots that highlight the variety of unique flavours from Montréal’s dynamic food scene.

The story of each restaurant

Travellers can try a few local dishes at YUL, including delicious choices from Auberge Saint-Gabriel, Archibald microbrewery, QDC Burger, Hurley’s à YUL or Pork & Pickle. Every day, the chefs, owners and servers of these restaurants devote themselves to offering patrons a one-of-a-kind experience. Discover their stories and the secrets of their kitchens in the short YULFoodies videos. They’ll be up for a few months, so dig in and enjoy!

In the very first video, we meet Sher Findlay, chef at L'Auberge Saint-Gabriel, but also her adorable grandmother, from whom she inherits her deep passion for flavours and their delicate combinations. From the ultra-equipped Auberge kitchen to her grandmother’s beautiful country house in Ontario, watch as Sher handles ingredients with respect, simplicity and an extraordinary touch. Founded by a French soldier in 1688, the Auberge Saint-Gabriel in Old Montréal is an international fine dining establishment renowned for its exquisite cuisine and carefully selected local products.

The story of Hind el Hage, co-owner of four restaurants, including UBar and YUL Pizza, is particularly inspiring. In this video, you’ll meet a detail-oriented and efficient woman who is passionate about cooking with fresh ingredients. Her shrimp and parsnip purée should belong in your bookmarks!

If Denis Paraschis from QDC Burger offers you more napkins with your meal, take them. As you can see in this video, this entrepreneur at heart and server by profession has the cool required to serve hamburgers from an upscale steakhouse. The letters QDC stand for Queue de cheval, Montréal’s famed downtown restaurant. Get ready to sink your teeth into meat that’s been aged for 45 days and totally raises the bar on the burger.

A feast for your eyes too

Like any gourmet restaurant, the dishes served at the YUL Montréal-Trudeau International Airport are not only delicious, but photo-worthy. Share them with your friends on social media so they can plan their perfect trip, right down to their time at the airport. And while you’re there, go to YUL Montréal-Trudeau International Airport’s Facebook and Instagram accounts to see all the videos and enter a contest to win travel certificates!
