Star-studded 2019 Just For Laughs Festival

Some of the biggest names in entertainment will headline the 37th edition of Just For Laughs, the largest comedy festival in the world. Trevor Noah, Wanda Sykes, Hasan Minhaj, Blake Griffin, Howie Mandel and Margaret Trudeau – mom of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau – are some of the headliners at the 2019 edition, which runs from July 10 to 28.

JFL galas

The Just For Laughs Gala shows at Salle Wilfred-Pelletier theatre feature the funniest and most popular comics in show business.

Gala hosts this year are Australian stand-up comedian Jim Jefferies (July 25), multi-award-winning actress and superstar comic Wanda Sykes (July 26), comedian and TV host Hasan Minhaj of Netflix’s Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj (July 26) and Netflix’s Queer Eye megastar Jonathan Van Ness (July 28).

Comedy legend and Just For laughs veteran Howie Mandel will host The Howie Mandel All-Star Comedy Gala on July 24.


Concert shows

South Africa-born comedy superstar Trevor Noah brings his Loud and Clear Tour to the Bell Centre arena on July 26.

Beloved British comic Michael McIntyre brings his Big World Tour to Théâtre Maisonneuve on July 25.

Golden Globe-winning actress and comedian Rachel Bloom headlines five shows at the Gesù theatre (July 22 to 27).

Elon Gold & Modi: 2 FOR 1 sees two top comedians on the Jewish circuit onstage together for the first time, performing for four consecutive nights at Centaur Theatre (July 22 to 25).

The first Indian comedian to have a Netflix special, Bollywood star Vir Das headlines Cinquième Salle on July 25.

Malaysian-born Chinese stand-up comedian Ronny Chieng from Crazy Rich Asians headlines the Gesù for three nights (July 23 to 25).

The ladies of Second City Toronto bring their smash-hit sketch show She The People to Centaur Theatre from July 22 to 27.

All-Star Blake Griffin hosts blake at the Olympia Theatre, the same venue where Saturday Night Live alum Fred Armisen makes his JFL debut in Comedy For Musicians but Everyone is Welcome on July 27. Also at the Olympia, Jackass stunt-performer Steve-O headlines his Bucket List Tour on July 24.

Mother of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Canadian icon and international mental health advocate Margaret Trudeau headlines her candid and critically-acclaimed autobiographical one-woman-show Certain Woman of an Age at the Gesù (July 25 to 27).

Comedy Night in Canada welcomes top comedians from across the Great White North to Club Soda on July 24.


Club Series

The hugely popular Ethnic Show returns with 19 shows hosted by Latina comic Cristela Alonzo with guests Gina Yashere, Dave Merheje, Robby Hoffman, Anthony DeVito and Rafinha “Rafi” Bastos, at Club Soda and MTELUS (July 10 to July 25).

Brit(ish) is hosted by the clever Jimmy Carr with special guest Sarah Millican at MTELUS on July 26 and 27.

The raunchy Nasty Show returns for 11 down-and-dirty shows hosted by the quick and crude Bobby Lee, making his Just For Laughs debut at MTELUS (July 17 to 27).
