Le Montréal, the signature à la carte restaurant at the Casino de Montréal, offers a refined dining experience that celebrates Québec’s culinary heritage.

After undergoing some renovations, Le Montréal reopened this past January in a prized location inside the Québec Pavillion, a modern structure built for Expo 67. In fact, the Casino de Montréal grounds are located within the Parc Jean-Drapeau on Île Notre Dame, an island that was built for the 1967 World Fair.

Le Montréal features a contemporary ambiance with breathtaking, unobstructed views. The dining room is elegant and welcoming. Diners can choose to sit at one of the comfortable tables or around the bar counter from which they can enjoy a direct view inside the open kitchen where the lively brigade is hard at work. In the summer, the charming terrace is a prime dining spot with beautiful sights of the surrounding water.

Chef Carl Jobin’s cuisine at Le Montréal emphasizes local ingredients, showcasing the richness of Québec's terroir. There are three menus to choose from: a “sampling size” one that’s perfect for diners who want to taste several dishes, an à la carte menu with signature dishes, and a three-course “First Act” tasting menu available from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. for those who want to catch a show. Start your dining experience with a house cocktail, mocktail or glass of wine from their extensive list. The individual bread service invites diners to indulge in a warm mini-baguette or brioche served with quality salted butter. The generous plates highlight Québec products in dishes such as the duck terrine and housemade foie gras, beef shoulder steak braised for 24 hours and served with roasted La Gabrielle fingerling potatoes, and pan-fried scallops with Massawippi miso broth.
