Whet Your Appetite!

Attendees come from as far away as Japan and Germany to taste what Montréal has to offer. The hugely popular Welcome Dinner and Cocktail at 7 pm on August 30 (the welcome cocktail begins at 6 pm) is one of the best ways to meet new friends and renew old friendships. The ambiance goes from casual to all-out fetish. A fetish-fantasy, goth-glamour dress code is suggested.

Relive Montréal’s Sin City Golden Era

The annual KABARET KINK takes place on August 30 at Montréal’s iconic Café Cléopatra, a show bar since 1893 and the last hold-out from Montréal’s fabled Sin City-era red-light district. Cleo’s classic cabaret space is on the second floor, above their first-floor strip joint.

Featuring seating for 100+ guests—with décor, lighting and disco balls straight out of the 1970s—this year’s theme is “Burlesque Retro Pin-Up.”

The floorshow will feature many sexy and exciting performers, from burlesque and shibaro to kinky and fetish shows. A fetish-fantasy, goth-glamour dress code is mandatory. Showtime is 11 pm.

The next night, August 31, Café Cléopatra hosts the Underworld Kabaret & Play featuring drag performers and the Wicked Mmm fashion show. Showtime is from 10:30 pm to 12 am.

There will be multiple after-show play stations for the mistresses, masters and subs who wish to surrender to the “beat” of the night. The theme is goth-kink-drag and a drag, fetish-fantasy, goth-glamour dress code is mandatory.

Incidentally, Café Cléopatra is the world’s longest-running monthly fetish event venue.

More Parties & After-Parties!

Underworld Creatures takes over Katacombes nightclub —with its suitably subterranean feel— on August 31, exploring the darker side of Montréal’s fetish, goth, new-wave, industrial and underground scenes, complete with side shows.

The Latextacy “Showtime” Fetish Fantasy Ball will be held on September 1, a grand costumed event at the St-Hubert Supper Club, complete with Xdress, uniforms, cosplay, retro-disco, Victorian corsets, cyber, steampunk, jocks, gear, bras and undies, wet look, domme and subs, Lolita… All matter of outrageous sexy fetish and kink wear is welcome.

There are after-parties at the Hôtel Gouverneur on both nights, beginning at 1 am. For those still raring to go after the Latextacy “Showtime” Fetish Fantasy Ball, check out Erotic Circus at Circus beginning at 2 am.

Fetish Fashionistas

Montréal has always been a very accepting city, so it comes as no surprise that Montréal Fetish Weekend each year also presents outdoor events that are sure to enlighten and provoke.

The Kinky Picnic will be held in the family-friendly confines of the Jardins Gamelin across the street from Hôtel Gouverneur, August 31 from 2 to 4 pm.

The festival’s colourful Mode en Folie street fair and celebrations on September 1 will be hosted by Montréal burlesque queen Velma Candyass and will showcase Shibari presentations (Shibari is an ancient Japanese artistic form of rope bondage), street fashion shows and fetish presentations from 7 to 10 pm on the red carpet on Sainte-Catherine Street in the heart of Montréal’s Gay Village. Free admission, and all are welcome.

The photo opportunities are legion, especially with Montréal’s iconic 18 Shades of Gay installation – made of 180,000 suspended resin balls – covering the lively terrasse-filled kilometre-long Aires Libres pedestrian mall in the Village.

Lights! Camera! Action!

Montréal Fetish Weekend will host its 10th annual legendary Fetish Photo Tour on September 2. Dressed in full-fetish regalia, participants will visit some of Montréal’s most picturesque hotspots, popular with both locals and tourists.

The two-hour tour departs from Émilie-Gamelin Place across the street from the festival’s Hôtel Gouverneur home base. There is a mandatory fetish fantasy goth glamour dress code. Be prepared for bystanders taking photos, as well as snapping selfies with tour participants.

The Fetish Photo Tour is one of the most popular events of the Montréal Fetish Weekend.
