Maricarmen Meza Simón is the type of person we all want to be friends with. Creative, knowledgeable and outgoing, this fashionable traveler has no time for boredom! Her expertise in PR and entertainment brought her from Mexico to New York and most lately Toronto. Being passionate about music, photography and all types of artistic expressions made her the best candidate to work with some of the greatest lifestyle companies such as NYC & CO, Mayakoba Mexico and W Hotels. Her 84K Instagram followers are always happy to discover cites from around the globe through the lens of her inclusive Instagram account. The newly Ontario-based socialite had a huge crush on Montréal this past spring while discovering our city. “One minute you feel like you are visiting Paris and the next one you’re in Spain… I love that this city is so culturally and architecturally diverse. I could definitely picture myself living here one day!” Here are her top four favorite spots.
What: A green oasis in the heart of the city
Why: Nothing will stop Marika from running her daily 5K. Always on the lookout for the best itinerary, she recommends visiting Mount Royal for an outdoor training to remember. By accessing the small mountain through Peel Street, your drill will start by climbing 525 stairs. Whether you pick a path with a smooth slope or a rougher one that requires agility, a break at Mount Royal Chalet is mandatory to enjoy the nicest view over downtown.

During the day, Darling gets packed with students, artists, and freelancers who enjoy a latté and a pastry while working on their laptops. Around 4 pm, a slow transition starts. The place turns into a happening bar where friends meet up for cocktails and tasty small plates including oysters, charcuterie boards and market cuisine.

What: A boat flipped into a spa
Why: Marika can’t wait to indulge with another relaxing day at this charming floating spa.
