From îLESONIQ to stand-up comedy nights, “Events. Safely Redefined” is the theme this summer at Jardin Royalmount, Montréal’s brand-new event venue
Located in Midtown, at the corner of Royden and Royalmount, a block from the site of last year’s hugely popular Royalmount Drive-In Theatre, Jardin Royalmount is an 18,000 square-foot event garden and theatre with an adjacent 8,000 square-foot covered pavilion large enough to host hundreds of people in a safe and socially distant way in both its indoor and outdoor configurations. The venue was named “Jardin” as the experience features a lush garden oasis.
The site can flex to accommodate the latest provincial and municipal COVID health guidelines.
In addition to recent îLESONIQ events with Mistress Barbara, and some of Montréal’s funniest stand-up comedians presented by the Comedy Nest, Jardin Royalmount also regularly hosts open-air supper clubs, dinner and movie nights, charity galas, live music, game nights, workout and wellness events, fashion shows and specialty brunches.
The Haunted Garden
These Friday Fright Nights (dates to be announced) will screen newly-released horror films and cult classics, augmented by scary surprises in Jardin Royalmount’s haunted garden.
Dueling Pianos
This interactive dining experience (dates to be announced) showcases the city’s best piano performers playing head-to-head onstage, from modern hits to classic rock – and all songs are entirely chosen by the audience for the crowd to sing along with while enjoying a meal in the garden.
Au Contraire Film Festival
The Au Contraire Film Festival – which strives to erase the stigma and dispel myths surrounding mental illness – kicks off its 9th annual edition at Jardin Royalmount on August 16. In partnership with the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, the ACFF is a signature initiative of Urban Pardes, a registered charity benefiting mental health initiatives.
