Dropping beats in the outdoor heat

Weekends in Montréal are always a party, and each Saturday and Sunday until September 26, 2021 in Parc Jean-Drapeau, Piknic Électronik brings the beats to keep everyone on their feet come rain or shine. And what could be better than an outdoor dance party with friends both old and new as soundtracked by some of the world’s top electronic music DJs and performers?

An old-school favourite

Founded in 2003, Piknic Électronik’s roster of performers have ranged from legendary originators to the latest trendsetters, and the 2021 program continues with a stellar lineup. Performers include Felix da Housecat, Blue Hawaii, Akufen, Tiga, Jacques Green, Carl Craig and AADJA, guarantee to keep the party rolling throughout the day. Separated into two sets of performances (including a mid-day change-over between the afternoon and evening editions), Piknic Électronik also delivers a new vision of festival fun where public health and safety is key. Check out the full program on their website.

An international trendsetter

Over its 18 years run, Piknic Électronik has welcomed over 1,000,000 music fans (and a ton of artists and DJs), and set the bar for outdoor electronic festivals. It should come as no surprise that the Piknic Électronik name and formula has expanded internationally with editions in Barcelona, Dubai, Santiago, Paris, Melbourne and Austin. Despite the fest’s winning formula making its way worldwide, the original remains in Montréal, and it’s clear Piknic Électronik is here to stay.
