A Montreal transplant for the past 20 years, she fell in love with the city’s diverse neighbourhoods the minute she arrived here. Tightrope walkers, jugglers, gymnasts, trapeze artists, clowns and street performers of all kinds have been staples of childhood imaginations everywhere. These true artists of the circus create magic, transporting us to those childhood moments and make new memories for adults and children alike. Montreal was named the international capital of circus arts by Le Figaro and Forbes, so it's no wonder that during the summer there are a ton of opportunities to admire the masters of this art. 

Cirque Éloize – Céleste

If you haven't been able to see Cirque Éloize’s Celeste, a brand new show at the Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth yet, you're in luck. This 90-minute show is on until September 3rd. 

Be transported by a guide who adventures in the air with acrobatics, music and captivating magic tricks.

Cirque du Soleil – Kooza

Until August 14 2022 under the marquee of the Old Port

Circus wouldn't be the same without the long-awaited return of Cirque du Soleil under the classic big top in the Old Port of Montréal. Until August 14, young and old will be able to marvel at breathtaking acrobatic performances and the antics of hilarious clowns in Kooza. In this two-hour show, you will experience a range of emotion, from fear to the quest for identity, from recognition to power, in this show full of aerobatics, eclectic costumes and transcendent music. This show had its world premiere here in 2007, and then viewed in twenty other countries with eight million fans. Now there's a new opportunity to experience one of Cirque du Soleil's most colourful performances.

Festival MONTRÉAL COMPLÈTEMENT CiRQUE

July 7 to 17 2022, throughout Montreal

Festival MONTRÉAL COMPLÈTEMENT CiRQUE has indoor and outdoor performances all over the city from July 7 to 17. At TOHU, seven shows will take place during these ten days.  Music, performances, wild universes and humour are at the heart of Après la nuit, Barka, Fase, Hiatus, Plast and La Famille GoldenCrust.

At the National Circus School, discover the Caribbean in Belles Places, an eloquent exchange between dance and circus while Piste piste piste is a fascinating journey into the world of shapes. This interdisciplinary performance for children and young audiences, combines contemporary circus, dance and visual arts.

Duels dans la ville are unlikely duels in which circus artists compete to outdo each other for the pleasure of all. Catch these performances for free in some of the most idyllic locatations in Montréal
