The McCord Stewart Museum is a museum of social history that celebrates life in Montréal, past and present: its history, its people, its communities.
Open to the city and to the world, it features stimulating exhibits as well as educational and cultural activities that appeal to people from here and abroad by having a current look on today’s issues.
The McCord Stewart Museum is home to one of the largest historical collections in North America consisting of more than 1.5 million artifacts including Dress, fashion and textiles, Photography, Indigenous cultures, Material culture and Archives.
In the summer season, the museum organizes guided outdoor tours.
