World Trade Centre Montréal
Culture, arts and heritage Montréal
Inaugurated in 1992, the World Trade Centre occupies a full city block where Old Montréal and the Quartier international meet. Its modern architecture incorporates several historical buildings and a part of the old Ruelle des Fortifications. A portion of the Berlin wall offered to Montréal for its 350th anniversary, a majestic fountain, and the mural “Circulations” designed for the 20th anniversary of the Centre adorn the site. Connected to the underground pedestrian network, this veritable indoor village is covered with a massive glass skylight and houses shops, restaurants, and services. Throughout the year, this unique space is bathed in natural light.
