Come the warm season, Les Jardineries blooms at the Esplanade of the Olympic Park, a fun urban green space with activities for all ages. Featuring a large urban garden with flowers and vegetables at the foot of the Olympic Stadium, Les Jardineries is a sustainable and eco-responsible way to take back former Olympic spaces. It’s as if the country has set up shop in the heart of Hochelaga for the summer!
Here, you can explore a wildflower meadow, a vegetable garden, or a chicken coop; play outdoor games, dine al fresco at picnic tables and lounge in hammocks; attend free urban agriculture workshops; enjoy a woodfire pizza with a local brew; take in shows and concerts; dance; make sandcastles on the circular beach and meet up with locals looking to have a good time with family and friends. Fun in the sun: this is what summer is all about!
Once night falls, the illuminated outdoor patio with music makes for a lovely setting to wind down at the end of the day or to enjoy a summer’s eve with friends.
Les Jardineries also welcomes visitors old and young to celebrate the joys of winter! Feel the rush on the mini-slides, enjoy a game of petanque-on-ice, and warm up in the chalet sipping a cup of hot chocolate!
