Get inspired by our lists built around a theme, and experience Montréal to the hilt.
Take a gastropub concept, infuse it with delicious Oriental flavours, and you’ve got Thazard, a slick Asian Tavern in Montréal’s hip Mile-End neighbourhood. Offering an inventive Asian cuisine in a chill, hipster-friendly atmosphere, Thazard is the place to grab a dumpling, tataki, tartar and more for lunch, happy hour, dinner or even late-night nibbles.
Chef Jean-Pierre Rochefort looks to the seasons to create inspired flavour combinations using local produce. Light and tantalizing, his dishes are nourishing, delicious and addictive.
Chic and trendy, Thazard takes surf ‘n’ turf up a notch, with delightful tuna tataki, grilled calamari and black cod riding the wave and crowd-favourite chicken karaage, crispy pork dumplings and spicy ribs bringing us back down to earth. Steaming bowls of ramen noodles, chirashi bowls, dumplings, and more make up a delicious menu of plates that are perfect to share.
Just as the chef likes to flirt with flavours, so does the bartender: Thazard’s list of signature cocktails evolves depending on his latest finds.
Groups are welcome in Thazard’s Sardine Room, a multi-purpose space equipped with a TV and an audio system. For a cocktail reception with private bar to a sit-down dinner, Thazard serves up a true Asian tavern experience.
