Brats are welcome at Les Enfants Terribles Cantine on Sherbrooke Street West, just down from the Museum of Fine Arts in Montréal's well-mannered Golden Square Mile.
Affectionately dubbed «le Petit Terrible» (but by no means lesser), this sister resto to the Bernard Avenue institution is Montréal at its best, with a hip serving crew, fabulous eats, impressive drinks and a decidedly urban Montréal vibe.
In Les Enfants Terribles’ trademark style, the Cantine is the perfect “just around the corner” restaurant: a cross between an English pub and a Parisian bistro that serves up honest food in a warm, homey atmosphere.
As for the menu, chef Nicola San José has whipped up an efficient menu of classic brasserie fare, along with some new dish fancied by Montrealers, proudly featuring local products. To this, add a signature cocktail menu that also focuses on local spirits. The brunch menu simply to die-for, with healthy, sweet and classic choices alongside specialities the likes of Merguez Shakshouka or Croque Monsieur, awaits you on weekends.
With 60 seats in a chic, cozy atmosphere where naughty is more the rule than the exception, you won’t find a better spot to host a private party – no matter the occasion!
