Is it a wine bar? A wine cellar? A restaurant? It’s Cul-Sec, Cave & Cantine, a trifecta of oenological discovery from chef-owner Martin Juneau! Specializing in the sale of natural, biodynamic and organic wines, this neighbourhood wine cellar-cum-resto offers a range of private import wines to consume on site or to take out with the purchase of a full meal.
Located in Little Italy, Cul-Sec is a quaint wine shop/cellar/restaurant which offers a simple menu of delicious food alongside an extraordinary selection of interesting organic and natural vintages plus elusive wines from artisanal vineyards. High wooden tables, barstools and walls lined with bottles enhance this eatery’s wine cellar allure.
Short and seasonal, the menu agrees to all tastes, with small plates of tartines, tartars and more to simple mains, such as sandwiches or salads, and, of course, desserts. The perfect wine pairing and a new discovery is just one sommelier suggestion away. A plus: at the end of the meal, you can take the bottle with you!
