YATAI MTL

YATAI MTL is a flagship four-day event celebrating Japanese culture and its street food in the heart of Montréal. Inspired by the “yatai,” traditional Japanese food stalls dating back to the Edo period (1630s), the festival offers an immersive experience accessible to all. The event unfolds across three main areas: a street food zone, an exhibitor zone and a cultural zone, bringing together street food, Japan-inspired products, and artistic performances. Welcoming over 45,000 visitors annually, YATAI MTL showcases the richness of Japanese culture while highlighting the cultural diversity and sense of community that define Montréal.
