Renée Fleming: Voice of Nature
Festivals and events
Renée Fleming: The Voice of Nature explores the connection between music and the living world. In “Voice of Nature: The Anthropocene,” the renowned soprano brings together sound and imagery in collaboration with National Geographic, inviting reflection on the planet’s fragile beauty through a lyrical repertoire spanning the 19th century to today. Led by Rafael Payare, the program approaches nature from multiple perspectives, from the cosmic wonder of Jimmy López’s “First Contact,” inspired by the 2024 solar eclipse, to the luminous sensuality of Debussy’s “Ibéria,” a portrait of an imagined Spain. Images, emotion, and music intersect in a concert shaped by awareness and vitality.
