Putting wonder into winter for 20 years now, the MONTRÉAL EN LUMIÈRE festival adds a truly dazzling touch to the Quartier des Spectacles with an upbeat program of fine dining, outdoor festivities, interactive lighting and a cultural program that pops.
Give free rein to your inner gourmet during the festival’s fine dining and embark on a culinary voyage you won’t soon forget. World-renowned chefs and wine producers, paired with their Montréal counterparts, wowing you with creative genius and sensory delights? This is epicurean exploration at its best! If you’re craving more, be sure to attend the curated dining itineraries, workshops, tastings and conferences—a hit with foodies from far and wide.
This feast for the senses takes on a whole new dimension at the outdoor site on Place des Festivals. Wander into a winter beehive swarming with bright-eyed, rosy-cheeked festivalgoers wee and old and see what the buzz is all about. Try wintry thrills like whooshing down a giant urban slide or looking out at the city below from a seat of a Ferris wheel. Live outdoor entertainment, activities for kids, warming stations and marshmallow roasting, bars and food trucks will have you seeing winter in a whole new light.
Highly popular last year, Nuit Gourmande returns for a second edition in more than 10 Montréal neighbourhoods. But be sure to rest up for La Nuit Blanche, an epic all-nighter crammed with culture that gives you not only the chance to soak up the electric nocturnal vibe but get inspired by some 200—mostly free—shows and activities city-wide. Who knew February could ever be so hot?
