Born in 2017, Courts d’un soir Festival has explosively grown to become an important 4-day gathering for short form filmmakers and cinefiles alike and has gained international acclaim.
The festival was created to both showcase short films from Québec and around the world and draw attention to the importance of short form filmmaking as more than a stepping stone towards feature films to Montrealers.
Courts d’un soir stands out for its dynamism and the variety of activities and content it offers, allowing the exchange of ideas between filmmakers of every degree, and supporting the next generation of filmmakers, including filmmakers under 21 years of age.
