For more than two decades, the Blue Metropolis International Literary Festival has brought together writers, philosophers and journalists from around the world to celebrate the art of writing.
Every year, through panel discussions, on-stage interviews, public readings and writing workshops, the multilingual festival attracts a growing number of those interested in sharing their love of literature and the exchange of ideas.
The festival, which has become North America's foremost literary gathering, features more than 200 exciting activities and events with participants presenting some of the best literature from Québec, Canada and across the globe. Several prestigious prizes are awarded throughout the festival, including the Blue Metropolis International Literary Grand Prize which is presented to a world-renowned author in recognition of a lifetime of literary achievement.
By bringing people together from different backgrounds, languages and cultures, all for the pleasure of reading and writing, the Blue Metropolis Festival allows creativity to flourish and strengthen intercultural understanding.
