Winter in Montréal may be cold, but thanks to BARBEGAZI, it’s also cool! Worthy of its namesake — the “barbegazi,” a mythical gnome-like creature with frozen beard that enjoys surfing on avalanches—, this crazy, adrenaline-rush of a winter action sports festival proves that there’s no fun like snow fun!
The admission-free two-day, all-ages BARBEGAZI Festival takes place against the spectacular backdrop of Montréal’s Olympic Stadium, on the Esplanade of the Olympic Park.
Everyone is invited to try their hand at new outdoor activities and games such as snowskating (rails, anyone?), fatbiking, as well as axe and Christmas tree throwing.
A fleet of food trucks, a diverse musical program featuring hot DJs, bonfires and more add to the festive atmosphere that will warm your heart and your toes! Avoid the winter blues and head out to this celebration of winter activities!
Enjoy the best of Montréal
