Réseau express métropolitain (REM)
The city Indoor Montréal
The Réseau express métropolitain (REM) is a light rail transit system that is currently partially operational. The REM operates between 19 stations from Gare Centrale in the heart of downtown Montreal to Brossard on the South Shore, or to Deux-Montagnes on the North Shore. Construction is ongoing to extend the network towards Anse-à-l’Orme and Montréal-Trudeau Airport. Once completed, the REM will feature 26 stations and 67 kilometres of track, serving Greater Montréal. The REM is fully electric and automated. This allows passengers to enjoy a unique view from the front or back of the train, particularly when crossing the Samuel De Champlain Bridge, which offers a breathtaking view of Montréal’s skyline.
