Operating out of the Lachine Canal Nautical Centre near the Atwater Market, H2O Adventures offers boat rentals, tours and team-building activities on Montréal’s beautifully restored historic waterway.
The H2O Adventures fleet includes a wide array of vessels, ranging from swan-shaped pedalboats (a hit with the kiddies) to traditional 4-seaters, solo and tandem kayaks, SUPs, eco-friendly electric boats and voyageur canoes. Visitors may admire Montréal’s stunning skyline as they paddle alongside ducks, herons, birds of all kinds, turtles and even beavers.
Why not participate in a group outing to discover the historic «cradle of Montréal's industrialization»? After passing through the Saint-Gabriel locks, the tour explores the Peel Basin, continues through Griffintown and ends at the Old Port. In the evening, tours go in the opposite direction for a short ride to one of the most picturesque terraces and most popular microbreweries in Montréal before returning at sunset.
Intrepid paddlers will get a kick out of the Voyageur Geocache Challenge, where teams of up to 13 voyageurs compete in an interactive challenge along the Lachine Canal. Equipped with a GPS device, binoculars and an old map, teams must navigate the canal in large canoes to complete the most challenges. Fun with friends, family or colleagues as a team-building exercise.
