Soon you won't have to drive too far for a night at the drive-in in Montréal. The days of the drive-in movie theatre are experiencing a comeback, with new outdoor entertainment venue Royalmount Event Theatre set to elevate a classic 1950s scene to a 2020s multimedia event.

Just like the drive-in days of yore, Royalmount Event Theatre will offer window service, but this time around it comes with a 50-foot LED screen, premium audio and a 30-foot stage for a great view no matter where you're parked. You don't have to stay inside your car the whole time either: each parking spot comes with a “safe zone” area for your own tailgate party, plus private bathroom.

The venue's concept keeps everyone entertained together at a safe distance, in a unique place. Whether you're there to watch a movie or live music, get together for a professional presentation or company launch, it's hard not to feel thrilled that it's happening at the drive-in. Located where Décarie and Highway 40 meet, Royalmount Event Theatre has been approved by the province and local municipalities to welcome up to 250 cars at a time for private parties, organizations, schools and other groups who need a large, well-equipped outdoor entertainment space to host their events.

Watch for upcoming programming at the Royalmount Drive-In Event Theatre from Cineplex, evenko, Just for Laughs and other promoters – or if you've got a great idea for an event, why not make it extra memorable and book it at the drive-in?
