Official walking tour of Quartier des Spectacles
Follow in the footsteps of the great events that have shaped the urban fabric and spirit of the Quartier des spectacles, from the "Red Light" period to the recent developments that have turned it into a huge open-air theater.
This two-hour walking tour, commented by a guide certified by the Institut de tourisme et d'hôtellerie du Québec (ITHQ), explores the Quartier des spectacles from west to east, from Place des Festivals to Jardins Gamelin. You will discover its iconic cultural sites, its ambitious Lighting Plan and its new architectural achievements. A pleasant stroll in a Montréal sometimes unsuspected, it is addressed to visitors as to Montrealers.
The tour begins at the corner of Balmoral and Sainte-Catherine West Streets.
