Festival Théâtre Communauté des Noirs (FETHÉCOMNOIRS)

FETHÉCOMNOIRS (Festival théâtre communauté des noirs) celebrates Afro-descendant artists from around the world, offering a platform to showcase, discuss and explore art. Since 2019, this festival has presented around ten performances each year that delve into the many facets of Black identity. Instituted by la Compagnie Théâtre Créole, it has become a cornerstone of Canada’s Black Theatre movement, fostering cultural and artistic expression. By highlighting contemporary authors through theatrical works, stage readings, exhibitions and thought-provoking talks centred on a chosen theme, the festival enriches conversations around the performing arts.
