Female Landscape, a fountain by sculptor Gerald Gladstone, was inaugurated in the plaza of Place Ville Marie on September 13, 1972 to commemorate the building's 10th anniversary. This magnificent sculpture represents the female form in bronze, while the fountain is powered electrically and recycles approximately 11 356 litres of water per minute. The jets at the base of the fountain shoot water 3.7 metres into the air and operate all year round, day and night, except when the temperature falls below -15° Celsius.
